There is news that a new undetectable Mac malware can be carried on compromised Ethernet Thunderbolt Adapters. These are the devices that allow newer Mac laptops to connect to the Internet via wired Ethernet connection through the MacBook Air or Macbook Pro’s Thunderbolt port.

We recommend that users who require wired Ethernet access on newer Mac laptops only buy Ethernet Thunderbolt adapters directly from Apple to mitigate the risk of obtaining a compromised unit.
